教學目標
Teaching Objectives
This course intendsto induce students to in?depth learn by service-oriented and customer-centeredbusiness principles and will develop their holistic thinking of service designand business strategy in order to innovate creative industries.
This course's goalsare:
l to introduce studentsto fundamental understanding of the key knowledge of service design and economictrends .
l to cultivate students toknow how to apply service design tools in the creative Industries
l to create opportunities forstudents to appreciate the essence of creative and social service activities inorder to innovate the formulation of service design
l to promote students’ analyticalabilities of the service design models in order to develop their holistic thinking of servicedesign and business strategy.

Evaluation methods
* Attendance and Participation: 30%
* Assignment (including in-class discussion, oral presentation and report,short-writing, paper commenting): 30%
* Midterm Presentation and report: 20%
* Final Presentation and report : 20%
*** Assignments should be presented andsubmitted on time.
Late Submission: assignments handed in late will begraded as low.
*** Attendance record is vitally importantto estimate a student’s final grade. If you are
absent more than three times and without any reasons,it will reduce 10% of the final
scores.

***Personal Project

This purpose of this project is to build up student ability in designing a creative design plan. It breaks down into seven tasks:
1. Selecting a topic and formulating a service research plan
2. Research design
3. Conducting research and collecting data
4. Transcribing and interpreting the collected data
5. Analyzing the data
6. Proposing a new concept or solution based on the collected data
7. Completing the research report

*** Assignments should be presented and submitted on time in class. Late Submission: assignments handed in late will begraded as low.
