課程簡介
Course Introduction
Marketing has been recognized as the core function of a business operation. Due to the improvements in technology and changing demographics, new markets are opening up throughout the world. Competition for these new markets has become fierce due to increases in both the number and size of domestic and international companies that want to sell to these markets. The purpose of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to learn about business from a marketing perspective. Marketing entails planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services. It starts with identifying and measuring consumers' needs and wants, assessing the competitive environment, selecting the most appropriate customer targets and developing marketing strategy and implementation program for an offering that satisfies consumers' needs better than the competition. Through discussion and participation we will address the impact of the external environment (e.g., technology, competition, political) on corporate marketing strategies (e.g., distribution, promotion, pricing, introduction of new products) to maximize its chance of success and achieve its organizational objectives
