課程簡介
Course Introduction
This course is designed to bridge the gap between undergraduate-level electromagnetics and gradate-level electromganetic waves, for many undergraduate students nowadays are exposed to only basic electromagnetics and for only a semester. Hence, if students choose eletromagnetic engineering as their careers, they do need to take more courses other than basic undergraduate electromagnetics. The course will cover two parts. The first part will include important relevant theories of electromagnetic waves. The second part will touch the concept of microwave engineering, especially the network concepts.

Teaching Objectives
1. To lay the foundation in the theory of graduate-level electromagnetics for the applications in microwave engineering.
2. To learn basic microwave network theory that will be needed in the design of microwave components and in the signal-integrity analysis of high-speed digital circuits.
