公路法第27條已修訂並經總統公布，將「汽車燃料使用費」更名為「公路使用養護安全管理費」，簡稱為「公路養管費」或「養管費」，該費用之徵收目的係作為公路養護、修建及安全管理使用，以使名稱與用途一致，落實使用者付費原則，確保相關費用專款專用，達到道路永續發展、提升整體道路品質與交通安全，故加以更名。該費用每年開徵期程、繳費方式及繳納金額均維持不變(詳如附件)。
Article 27 of the Highway Act has been amended and promulgated by the President, renaming the "Automobile Fuel Usage Fee" to the "Highway Usage Maintenance and Safety Management Fee," abbreviated as the "Highway Maintenance Fee" or "Maintenance Fee." The purpose of levying this fee is to fund highway maintenance, construction, and safety management, thereby aligning the designation with its intended use. This change embodies the principle of user-pays, ensuring that the collected funds are exclusively allocated for their designated purposes, promoting sustainable road development, and enhancing overall road quality and traffic safety. Consequently, the fee has been renamed. The annual collection period, payment methods, and amounts remain unchanged (as detailed in the attachment).
