The NSTC Office of Humanities is now accepting applications for the 116th Year "Excellence in Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program." The pertinent details are as follows:

1. To encourage mid-career scholars with research potential to integrate interdisciplinary research capabilities, and to foster international academic collaboration in pursuing forward-looking topics, developing emerging research fields, or exploring globally significant core issues, the NSTC Office of Humanities has launched the "Excellence in Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program." This initiative aims to cultivate outstanding scholars and research teams, strengthen the research capacity of academic talents, and achieve groundbreaking and profoundly impactful scholarly outcomes.

2. This program invites applications for both individual and single integrated projects, with a strong encouragement for principal investigators to form interdisciplinary research teams. For single integrated projects, the main project and subprojects should be consolidated into one application submitted by the principal investigator of the main project.

3. Research project applications must comply with the regulations stipulated in the NSTC’s Guidelines for Subsidized Research Projects. Applicants should submit their proposals and upload relevant documents online via the NSTC Academic Research Service Network under the section for "Excellence in Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program."

4. Applications will undergo a review process in accordance with established procedures, and funding will be awarded to the most meritorious proposals. Appeals for unsuccessful applications will not be entertained.

5. The call for proposals is published on the NSTC website (https://www.nstc.gov.tw).
