  1. According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), Typhoon Champi, the 29th typhoon of this year, was centered at 13.7 degrees North latitude and 140.3 degrees East longitude at 2:00 AM today (19th). Moving northwestward at a speed of 19 kilometers per hour, it is projected to gradually turn northward along the eastern offshore area of Taiwan from Thursday (22nd) to Saturday (24th), making its closest approach to Taiwan on Friday and Saturday. Due to high uncertainty in its subsequent path and the possibility that certain forecast models might show a more westward shift affecting Taiwan, please closely monitor the latest typhoon forecast information. All educational administrative authorities are requested to urge affiliated schools (including kindergartens and educational institutions) to remain highly alert, closely monitor the latest weather information and typhoon dynamics from the CWA, and implement various flood-prevention preparations and emergency response measures.

  2. All educational administrative authorities are requested to supervise affiliated schools (including kindergartens and institutions) in strengthening typhoon preparedness. This includes conducting comprehensive inspections of campus buildings, drainage systems, basements, low-lying areas, and various equipment, as well as completing disaster prevention preparations such as safety inspections and drainage clearance. Furthermore, schools and institutions located in disaster-prone areas—such as flood-prone zones, debris flow areas, or slope collapse zones—must step up monitoring of the surrounding environment, prepare in advance for emergency responses, and make necessary activity adjustments to reduce disaster risks and losses.

  3. All educational administrative authorities and schools must accurately keep track of outdoor teaching activities, camps, club activities, seminars, and other outdoor events (team leaders must ensure their mobile phones remain accessible). If any activities are scheduled in mountainous areas, water bodies, rivers, streams, or other high-risk locations, please closely track the latest weather conditions and local situations, evaluate prudently, and timely adjust, postpone, or cancel activities to ensure the safety of faculty and students.
