This course is first aimed to provide students a comprehensive understanding about modern corporate finance theories and related empirical evidence. The topic includes corporate governance, ownership structures, investment strategies, capital structure, and payout policies. The second goal of this course is to enhance students’ ability to read academic papers and develop research ideas. Students are also required present papers and proposals in the class. The third goal of this course is to provide student an English learning environment. We are glad to invite Prof. Tho, the Vice President of Foreign Trade University in Vietnam, to join this course as a guest lecturer. Prof. Tho will provide an 18-hour independent lecture in English.
